Depending on where you call home, winter may seem like an odd time to find seasonal fruits and vegetables that are native to where you live. But despite the recent chilly temperatures in South Florida, there’s still plenty of tasty, in-season produce that’s ripe for the picking.
This February, get acquainted with the fruits and veggies available to you by attending the Pure Leaf Farm-to-Table Brunch presented by Whole Foods! Food Network sensation Geoffrey Zakarian hosts this celebration of culinary masters who also embrace farm to table fare. Signature Chef for Essensia Restaurant, Julie Frans is committed to worldly cuisine in a vibrant and sophisticated style that utilizes local, natural, sustainable, and seasonal ingredients, including fresh herbs and vegetables from the hotel’s own on-site Organic Chefs Garden. Complementing the menu is Newton Vineyards wines and American Harvest Organic Spirit cocktails that share the farm-to-table point of view, plus samplings from the juice experts at JugoFresh.
February’s Farm-to-Table Brunch will feature all local produce donated by Teena’s’ Pride Farm; a sustainable farm located in Homestead that also offers a popular community supported agriculture program. Individual Chef’s stations will be themed to highlight the produce donated by Teena’s Pride and grown right here in South Florida.
Hurry there are still a few tickets available for purchase here. We look forward to seeing you!
